LAHORE – May 2025: Punjab’s Minister for Education, Rana Sikandar Hayat, has announced that all educational institutions in the province will reopen on Monday, May 12.
The decision comes after a ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan, which has helped ease recent security concerns. Schools, colleges, and universities—both public and private—were temporarily closed for two days to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and staff.
“This order applies to all educational institutions without any exception,” said Minister Hayat. He confirmed that normal academic activities will resume on the announced date.
The Punjab government is still monitoring the security situation closely. If needed, additional steps will be taken to maintain peace and protect the public.
All the examinations of theory and practical will be held according to the their schedule.
This reopening is a welcome relief for students and educators eager to return to their classrooms and continue the academic year without further interruption.
