Matric Exam Schedule for 2026

The Class 10 (Matric) annual examination schedule for 2026 has been officially announced across Punjab. According to the examination boards, the exams will begin on March 27 and continue until April 16, 2026 under a unified timetable throughout the province.

All educational boards in Punjab will follow the same schedule. Morning papers will start at 9:00am, while evening papers will begin at 2:00pm. On Fridays, afternoon exams will commence at 2:30pm.

Exam Schedule Highlights

The first exam day, March 27 (Friday), will include Arabic, Clothing and Textile, and Geometrical & Technical Drawing in the morning session. In the evening, students will appear in Household Accounts (Girls), History of Islam, and History of Pakistan.

On March 30, English (Compulsory) will be conducted, with Group First in the morning and Group Second in the afternoon.

Other major subjects are scheduled as follows:

  • March 31: Economics, Physiology & Hygiene (morning); Child Development, Family Living & Health and Physical Education (evening).
  • April 1: Physics and Advanced Islamic Studies (Group First morning; Group Second evening).
  • April 2: Persian and Food & Nutrition (morning); Civics and Wood Work (evening).
  • April 3 (Friday): Tarjama-tul-Quran-e-Majeed (Compulsory) and Ethics for non-Muslim students (Group First morning; Group Second evening).
  • April 6: Biology and Computer Science (Group First morning; Group Second evening).
  • April 7: Education (morning).
  • April 8: Chemistry and General Science (Group First morning; Group Second evening).
  • April 9: Islamiat (Compulsory – Old Course).
  • April 10 (Friday): Urdu (Compulsory) Group First (morning); Group Second and Geography of Pakistan for foreign students (afternoon).
  • April 13: Mathematics (Science Group) and General Mathematics (Arts Group) (Group First morning; Group Second evening).
  • April 14: Elements of Home Economics (morning); Geography and Electrical Wiring (evening).
  • April 15: Pakistan Studies (Compulsory) Group First (morning); Group Second (evening).
  • April 16 (Final Day): Punjabi, Urdu Literature, and English Literature (morning); Art & Model Drawing, Dress Making & Fashion Designing, and Management for Better Homes (evening).

The boards have clarified that the practical examination schedule will be issued separately. Practical exams will take place after the completion of the written papers.

Students are advised to carefully review the full subject-wise timetable and prepare accordingly to avoid confusion regarding group timings.
