DPI Zahida Batool Reviews School Development Projects in South Punjab

Director of Public Instruction (Secondary Education) South Punjab, Zahida Batool, visited Layyah, Rajanpur, and Dera Ghazi Khan to check the progress of school development projects. These efforts are part of an education improvement plan launched the projects in south Punjab under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

During her visit, Zahida Batool inspected over 30 schools across the three districts. She reviewed the construction of new classrooms, repair of old buildings, and the availability of basic facilities like clean water and toilets. She expressed satisfaction with the speed and quality of the ongoing work.

Zahida Batool shared that the government is making good progress in upgrading education in South Punjab. The projects are based on the needs of each school and the budget available. Most of the work is moving forward smoothly.

She also met with deputy commissioners in each district. They discussed how to ensure timely completion of the projects and keep everything transparent. Local Assistant Commissioners are making regular site visits, while School Management Committees (SMCs) are overseeing the work at the ground level. Community leaders have also been included to build trust and improve teamwork.

The DPI directed the district CEOs (Chief Executive Officers) of education to quickly identify more schools that need help. She asked them to act fast on repairs and prepare a list of schools that can be added if more funds become available. The goal is to complete all projects fully and on time.

Zahida Batool said these steps will improve the learning environment and benefit thousands of students. Local residents praised the efforts and thanked the Punjab government for focusing on better education in the region.
