ISLAMABAD: Iqra University Islamabad H-9 Campus hosted its flagship grand alumni dinner, “The Ascent 2026 – Reconnect. Rise. Reimagine,” bringing together alumni, industry professionals, and academic leaders to celebrate the institution’s achievements and global impact.
The event aimed to strengthen links between academia and industry while reconnecting graduates with their alma mater. A key highlight of the evening was the launch of the IU Alumni Mentorship Program, an initiative designed to encourage professional collaboration and offer students valuable exposure to international industry experience.
The program was organized by the university’s Career Services Department. Speaking at the gathering, Badar Abbas Shah, Head of the Career Services Office, said that alumni play a vital role as ambassadors of the university and contribute significantly to its reputation and growth.
Professor Dr. Eatzaz Ahmed, Associate Dean at Iqra University H-9 Islamabad, delivered the welcome address, emphasizing that such events reflect the university’s commitment to building long-term, meaningful relationships with its graduates.
The evening blended memories with innovation through video messages from overseas alumni, an engaging Tambola session, and a live musical performance, creating a warm and celebratory atmosphere.
The event concluded with a formal dinner and networking session, allowing alumni to reconnect, exchange ideas, and explore potential business and professional collaborations.
The highlight of the night was the Alumni Excellence Awards 2026, which honored outstanding graduates for their remarkable contributions and achievements in their respective fields.
