MULTAN, Feb 15: Experts have highlighted that artificial intelligence (AI) skills are becoming increasingly important for future careers as the digital economy continues to grow rapidly. These views were shared during a training and awareness session held in Multan as part of the Indus AI Summit 2026.
The session was organized by the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication at the Multan Institute of Technology, and was attended by a large number of students eager to learn about emerging technologies.
Speakers, including Talha Hameed, Muzamil Hussain, Ahsan Bukhari, Azwar Rahman, Tayab Shabir, Fareeha Saleem, Filza Wajid, Talal, and Nalain Abbas, explained that AI is transforming many industries. They said fields such as content creation, digital marketing, web designing, and other sectors are benefiting from AI by increasing efficiency and reducing costs. According to the experts, individuals with hands-on AI knowledge will have a strong advantage in the future job market.
Speaking on the occasion, MIT Head Talha Hameed said that the use of AI is no longer optional, as it has become part of almost every profession. He added that the government’s efforts to promote AI awareness and practical training among youth are vital for preparing a skilled workforce.
He noted that Pakistani youth are already providing digital services to international clients, and global demand for AI-based skills is rising. During the session, experts also demonstrated live AI tools and shared examples of how these technologies are helping individuals and businesses generate real financial benefits.
